Software Developer - Synon/CA2E(RPG)

AccessHR is excited to partner with Enrich Software for the global recruitment of a Synon Developer. This is a full-time, permanent position with flexibility for a part-time individual according to candidate preference. Individuals also have the choice to work 100% remotely or onsite at Enrich’s offices in downtown Calgary, Alberta.

Position Description

Due to a recent retirement, we are recruiting a Synon Developer to work as part of an established development team, providing business analysis, software design, development, peer testing, documentation, and production support.

This opportunity is well suited for a senior-level Synon Developer who doesn’t want to simply write code. You’ll be excited by the prospect of diving into customer challenges and identifying solutions to time-sensitive, operational issues. You are self-driven, enjoy variety in work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will spend a large portion of your time collaborating with the Customer Experience team to resolve issues, develop product enhancements, and support smooth product implementations.

A clear differentiator for this role is that the successful candidate will be part of a niche product offering with the opportunity to participate in the porting strategy of the Synon tool. Ultimately, we are seeking a quick thinker, who takes accountability, and loves to solve issues.

  • Business Analysis & Design: Analyze customer challenges and develop Enrich ERP software solutions using Synon and RPG/ILE.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Become an expert in Enrich software including PTF packaging tools and the software development toolkit.

  • Judgement: Ability to take initiative; knows when to proactively seek help when facing challenges.
  • Organization: Outstanding organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Learning Agility: Ability to quickly learn product functionality through both instruction and self-learning.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to build customer trust by asking questions to clearly define issues, developing solutions, and communicating next steps.
