Career Transition Consultants                                      (Remote - Calgary & Edmonton)

AccessHR is excited to announce that we are continuing to grow our team, our client base, our geographic reach, and our service offerings. As a result, we are adding two Career Transition Consultants to our team to support our growth; one based out of the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area and the other based out of the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area.

 

Position Summary

 

These positions are independent contractor roles assisting with employee exits and providing exited employees with best-in-class career development and job search assistance on an individual basis.

This is a 100% remote role that will require a driver's license and vehicle to travel to/from client sites.

 

Key Deliverables

  • Provide guidance to corporate clients to ensure smooth employee transitions.
  • Meet with exiting employees and assist them with immediate needs and concerns.
  • Provide one-on-one career coaching including career planning, branding, resume development, LinkedIn optimization, networking, interviewing, and negotiating.
  • Assist clients with identifying their strengths and bringing them to life through stories and examples.
  • Help clients through the invariable roller coaster ride that is job search.

Qualifications

  • Emotional Intelligence: Extensive skills in active listening, empathetic guidance, and customized coaching. Thrives when working with diverse personalities, varied education and socio-economic backgrounds, and bringing successes to life!
  • Career Development Expertise: Expert in career planning, branding, resume development, LinkedIn (both profile development & optimization and using LinkedIn proactively in the job search process), networking, interviewing, and compensation negotiation.
  • Writing Skills: Expertise with wordsmithing client stories into bullets that create resumes that are works of art; resumes that reflect what clients bring to the table beyond just their skills.
  • Collaboration: Desire to work in a truly collaborative environment without silos; brings a “how can I help” attitude to all colleague and client interactions.
  • Creativity: Ability to brainstorm and get creative with clients to uncover unconventional opportunities.

Education and Experience

  • Post secondary education in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the business and/or non-profit sectors; understanding of organizational cultures, structures, and decision-making processes.
  • Expertise and experience with client file management.

Assets

  • Certification in career coaching including CCDP and/or courses through the Career Professionals of Canada.
  • Experience in customer-centric, business-to-business (B2B) environments.
  • Specialized certifications including coaching credentials.
  • Assessment certifications including Insights, DiSC, CliftonStrengths, EQ-i, and EQ 360.
  • Experience working in a fully remote organization.

Position Requirements

  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Personal computer with Office 365, high-speed internet connection, and Zoom license.
  • Expertise using video conferencing tools including Zoom and MS Teams.
